A Little More About A.O.

My name is Doug Iwasaki and I am a Certified Orthotist providing healthcare in the community for those who have any type of bracing needs.

After working at the NS Rehab Centre, I decided in 2018 to offer Nova Scotians an alternative for their healthcare needs, marking the first time such services were available in mainland Nova Scotia. Certified Orthotists and their services in the province are considered ‘uninsured services,’ meaning that whether you see an Orthotist at the NS Rehab Centre or in the community, the device is not covered by MSI. As a result, I can access various funding sources, including Community Services, Worksafe, local charities, and all private insurance companies.

My focus will always remain on addressing your individual healthcare needs, while working collaboratively with all other healthcare professionals involved in your care.

Our practice also works alongside Arthritis and Injury Care.
